The Demon-Haunted World

This is the most intriguing slideshow I have ever seen. It’s from a conference in New Zealand by Matt Jones of dopplr-fame and it seriously kicked my brain into overload. I really really want to write a project about this, but I’m not sure how it’ll fit in to the bachelor project I’m about to do in a couple of months. Supposedly it’ll have to be about “information management in organizations”, but this has to be squeezed in somewhere.

When you read the slides for the first time, the first 20-30 slides are pretty incomprehensible, but stick to it and read it all the way through – it’ll make perfect sense once you reach the final slides.

(if you can’t see the slides – come out of the RSS-reader and check it out)

Do you have some interesting links on what Matt Jones calls “city magic” with examples of how the city is becoming more and more to life?

That was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I did not have the time for this but got into the office really early today, stumbled onto your blog from Twitter and just got hooked on the first slides. It all just falls into place at the end.

It consolidates my thoughts on where we are right now, under 1 % explored, and gives me positive chills thinking about the future.

Thanks for posting it!

@Joackim: It really is an amazing presentation, and well worth reading all the way through. You should have a look at http://www.delicious.com for the “citymagic”-tag and hopefully I’ll get to post an update to this post with some of the blogs I’ve found that covers the same topic. Ubicomp FTW :)
