And as we previously reported, during his 1974 campaign, a former aide described “approaching a car with Gingrich’s daughters in hand, only to find the candidate with a woman, her head buried in his lap.” Another former aide alleged that Gingrich had attempted to seduce her, Chaz Reinhold-style, after the death of a relative.
Or, maybe not, when you read that he presented his demands for a divorce from his second wife while she was in recovery for cancer surgery.
The whole article is a very good reason why he—theoretically—is unable to ever get near The White House but the US of A has a pretty weird history when it comes to surprise elections. I still don’t understand how the fuck this happened:
I missed this back in the days of the US election. Not sure how that’s possible, seeing how absolutely marvellous this project is.
SoSoLimted, a three-piece group of artists, wrote software that would enable them to take words – as they were uttered – by Obama and McCain in the presedential debates, and mash it up with some visualization tools live in front of an audience:
Turn off the sound, watch the video, pause where it goes too fast and discard the Republican message – then you have one of the best videos about why the subprime-mortgages is killing the world’s economy at the moment.
My comment to the video:
I live in Europe. I’m eligible to vote in Denmark. But I support Barack Obama with every means available to me, despite my geographical inability to elect an American president.
I don’t support Obama because he is perfect, but because he is the better of two evils. Being one man having that much responsibility over a country that is so diverse and complex, must be the most startling feeling you can have.
This video shows why the economic crisis has to come to the point where the US government has to support the free market by investing money in risky business. Hopefully, all of the money will return to the government – maybe even with a little extra for the effort. And Obama is also a part of why this happened in the first place.
A lot of people (myself included) isn’t quite sure why the crisis is so massive all of a sudden. This video – despite it’s Republican premise – gives information about why the Subprime-mortgages were probably one of the worst ideas in the history of economics.
Remember, I’m not Republican. i despise Sarah Palin (which is more important than what I feel about John McCain, since he will probably not be physically able to fulfill his term as President, and then we have the scariest woman in the world as leader of the free world) and I hope as many people as possible will come out and vote, come November 4th.
